Challenge #4-He Didn't Have To Be

This is my LO for Challenge #4 of the ADSR. One thing I hope I can pass on is you don't have to be a blood relative to love and take care of someone that you love and are close to. The big picture is of my family when I was about 10 and the little picture is of me and Dylan. My Dad adopted us when we were young and I couldn't have asked for a better father figure in my life. I always want to show Dylan the same kind of parenting and want him proud of his family. My Journaling is modified but from Brad Paisley's Song "He Didn't Have To Be"Lookin' through the glass I think about the manThat's standin' next to meAnd I hope I'm at least half the parentThat he didn't have to be
Lookin' back all I can sayAbout all the things he did for meIs I hope I'm at least half the parentThat he didn't have to be
I hope I'm at least half the parentThat he didn't have to beBecause he didn't have to beYou know he didn't have to be

Challenge #2 Complete-Bored Silly

Here’s our collaborative effort on the theme: Cabin Fever for Challenge #2 for the ADSR. Credits: Shimmering Crystals by Sarah Barber Design. The reason this is so different is because Sarah and I are both Mom's to Dylan, and we both journaled about our experience with him getting Cabin Fever. We did have to add 3 more elements to make our LO elgiable for the this round which was not clear in the original rules but was clarified to us so it got fixed but we both agreed we liked our original LO so here it is.

Happy New Year Everyone!

Where did the year go! Well for some great news my nephew was born yesterday. Dominick Mason Andux arrived at 1:57pm on 12/31/2008. Talk about a great New Years Eve, what more could you want to start a new year than a new baby. He is so Beautiful!!! Congrats goes out to my Sister and Brother in Law. I am so happy to be an Aunt again. I tell you it is the next best thing to having a child yourself.

Here are some pictures from our New Years Eve! Well as most people do at the start of a New Year you think of things that you may want to change or improve on. There is always things that I want to change and we can always improve ourselves as people but as I sat with my family last night I stopped and thought how lucky I am and how grateful I am for all that I do have in my life. One thing I want for 2009 is to make more time for my Family and another is to make some time for myself. That of course would me more scrapping for me, lol. Onto some great Scrapping News. The ADSR Season 4 starts this Sunday January 4th and guess what we are Team 44. Our Team name is "About A Boy" It is the first time I have ever done anything like this and I am excited to get started. Happy New Year Everyone, here is to a awesome 2009!
