We made it, another fantastic Holiday full of so much fun. I think I even got everything finished, lol. The Christmas Cards are done and have all been put in the mail along with a few special packages that had to be shipped to our family that lives far away. The shopping has been done and the presents all wrapped. All the presents are put under the tree. Dylan's Christmas story has been read and then after he fell fast alseep in his bed. As the house is so quiet and everyone heads to bed I lay hear just thinking about all we have to be greatful for. This year it just seems like everything has fallen into place. I picked up Ciara my step daughter after work and as we returned home to Dylan, Carl and Grandma Joan we had so much fun. We baked cookies, so many cookies that I am all cookied out if that is possible. After all the baking was done we decided we would sit down and play some board games for some good old fashioned family fun. What a blast we had Carl picked Trouble to play first and then after we moved on to sorry. Hours went by and what fun we had just sitting around being silly and playing games and eating some of the yummy cookies we made. It was so nice to have the kids together for Christmas this year. This morning we started the day with Breakfast and some more fun and then off to pick up the Grandma's. We celebrated with some of Carl's side of the family and I even got a great 4 generation picture. We unwrapped presents and spent some time together and of course more cookies to share. Then as the day moved on everyone went home Mom and I prepared our Family Dinner, Lasagna,YUM! Dylan and his Dad put legoes together for hours. As evening approached more family came over. My Brother, Sister in law and the kids all came over for an evening of fun. More Presents, Pictures and more fun. We ate a big Christmas eve dinner and after relaxed some and played Uno Attack, what a fun game that is. As it got later and later everyone left and then we began to settle in for the evening. Dylan wrote his note to Santa and put out Cookies and Milk. Then as I tucked him into bed I began his traditional Christmas Eve Story of The Night Before Christmas. It amazes me every year how intently he sits with me and listens and I read his story. As I tucked him and kissed him good night he closed his eyes and went right to sleep. He knows Santa doesn't come unless we are all sleeping. We finished putting the presents under the tree and off to bed we go with the anticipation of what Chrismas Morning brings to us, the joy of being together. From our family to yours we wish you all a very Merry Christmas! Here are a few photos from last night.
